No Trespassing: Cinematic V1

Hey guys,

Just a quick update this is a rough cinematic cut of my short film for Animation Mentor called "No Trespassing". We're suppose to keep the story within 30-45 sec so I might have shorten and tighten up the timing a bit. Again, this is a rough first pass of the entire film.I'm in the process of exploring more creative angles and compositions for my shots so, if you have any suggestions let me know, thanks.

ARM Dollar Campaign

A friend of mine is organizing a fundraiser for muscle disorder patients, he's encouraging people to donate a small amount of money to help with human clinical trials. Click on the link below for more info. Please forward the link to your friends. Thanks.

With ARM we have created this dollar campaign with the hopes of raising 1 million dollars to enable human therapeutic trials to fight HIBM. We are asking for two things: First, go to WEBSITE

In the Internet age, reaching one million people in that amount of time is surely do-able. If you are interested in becoming a bigger influence in this campaign, host your own dollar collecting campaign in your community, church, workplace, among your friends and family and donate what you've collected as one donation. Or you can post this story and image on your own blog and Facebook page. The more people we can reach increases the awareness of HIBM.

HIBM (Hereditary Inclusion Body Myopathy) is a progressive and debilitating muscle-wasting disorder caused by a gene defect. It touches those between the ages of 20 and 40 and, although progression is slow, it typically leads to total disability within 10-15 years. Studies suggest that HIBM may be easier to cure than many other disorders or diseases, the only limiting factor is funds.

Learning 2d from Jason Ryan Animations

Here are a few flipbook animations I did following Jason Ryan's flipbook method. I had fun creating these and hopefully employ this method in my own workflow someday. I personally think that the 2d version was much more appealing, oh well I just have to remember not to make my CG work look very ROBOTIC. Keep animating!!!

So I'm going to try this new idea, and the point of it is to get me to sketch anywhere and anytime. Every week or so I'll be posting up some of my quick sketches from my molskine sketchbook. All the animators and concept artists at work have been using them and I just wanted to join the fun of sketching. Now these sketches are by no means masterpieces, they're simply my recording of what I see around me. So here's the first series of sketches I did this weekend. I walked around Redondo Beach and sketched some of the people walking around, fishing, and playing with their kids. There's a huge dog park by my place so I stopped by and TRIED sketching some of the dogs. I realized that dogs are so much harder to draw than cats. They're constantly on the move so it's a challenge to capture their poses, but here they are. Across the the dog park, there was a baseball game going on so I sat on a bench a distance away from the field and sketched what I could capture. I hope you had a good weekend and ejoy the week.

I am currently working on a 2 person dialogue for my AM class 4. The line of dialogue is from Arrested Development and it's a conversation between the father and the son. Here's a quick peek at my thumbnails and sketches. I'll post my first blocking stage in a few weeks. See you soon.

The goal was not to recreate the exact look of the image reference but to capture the pose, the overall personality of the expression.
